This charming floral ensemble has the best of both worlds, lovely woven Iris’s coupled with stylish satin. The Iris collection features bouquets of lavender and apricot colored flowers on a gold and green stemming vine, which are accented with crinkled satin. The top of the bed features the beautiful floral motif overlapping a subtle Iris embossing pattern on a natural colored ground finished with tri-colored twist cord on three sides. The ruffled bed skirt features the crinkled green satin that can also be found on the ruffled fringe of valance. The Euro shams are constructed entirely of the green pleated satin which can also be found as accents on select decorative pillows. Add Iris’s 300TC 100-percent cotton, natural colored sheets with floral attached hem to complete this opulent ensemble.

The Croscill Iris Jacquard 4-Piece Comforter Set is absolutely beautiful! It is worth the $299 I paid for the set. The comforter, bed skirt, and shams are quality made with thick solid piping on the edges of the comforter and shams. The jacquard fabric on the comforter and shams is tightly woven yet not so tight that any little snag will show. Stitching throughout is very well done. The shams have quality material on the non-facing side and have a French slit to put the pillow into the sham ( a French slit is on that is toward one end versus in the middle of the sham) which is nice because it helps the pillow not end have a fold in the middle.The comforter has sewn circles to help keep the filling in place. The circles add versus detract from the design.I've had horrible experience with lesser quality material on bed skirts ripping, but not this bed skirt. The material on the part that goes under the mattress is regular material, not thick paper-like 'fabric' of lesser quality sets. Instead, the material is thick and sturdy which hold up to the wrestling it takes to get it under the mattress.The comforter has a green tone to it but surprisingly it has a definite golden tone. It shines in a subtle way that lights up the room. The skirt is very green and also has a shine. The sharp creases on the skirt are pretty and different from the standard fold or flat look of most skirts.The floral design is a not an 'in your face' floral design. I like flowers but do not want them to be the main focus in the bedroom.I expect this set to last for many years.

True, this is a very attractive comforter set. However, please be aware of the following...The comforter is not adequately filled. The lack of filling creates excess fabric on the top of the comforter, which results in folds and makes the fabric bunch up. Add this to the unfortunate fact that the fabric this comforter is made of wrinkles very easily. The reverse side especially wrinkles very easily. I tried all day yesterday to smooth the comforter out with little success. I know comforters are folded for awhile before shipping and it takes a few days for everything to settle. However, I don't think this is the problem. The lack of adequate filling is the problem.I have a Croscill comforter on a bed in one of my spare bedrooms that I bought several yrs. ago. The fabric is very similiar to the Iris with one exception. The comforter I have had for yrs. is filled adequately. The fabric is not all bunched up from being under-filled. I have purchased and returned two other Croscill comforters in the last two wks. Both were cheaply made and under-filled. I have been a Croscill fan for yrs. However, I have finally come to the conclusion, Croscill no longer makes quality bedding.I am absolutely amazed by all the positive reviews on this comforter set. My set needs to be sent back to Croscill for more fill material in the comforter.

Bought this comforter set because of all the positive reviews. What a cheap piece of junk! Actually I was pleasantly surprised by the color when I opened the box, a beautiful golden color rather than yellow as it appears in photos. The fabric felt flimsy and cheap, the fill was thin and cheap and the cording was too small to be impressive. This comforter may impress JC Penney customers, but if you're accustomed to luxury bedding like Austin Horn or Eastern Accents, this is a joke. This has not been my experience with all Croscill comforters though, some have been very nice, well, decent.
