Initially the pillow was great, fluffy and firm, just the perfect balance. After a few months the pillow stopped bouncing back to life and the edges were flimsy. I contacted Tempur-Pedic for a return as the description says "1 year warranty". I was told that since I purchased through a reseller this was not eligible for a refund.I then contacted the seller since they said there was a 1 year warranty but I never received a response.If you are going to buy this pillow you should buy directly from Tempur Pedic to ensure you get a full warranty and some level of customer service.

I love down pillows, but when recovering from chronic soreness caused by poor ergonomics at a computer desk, I needed something more supportive for head/neck support in bed. I'm a broad-shouldered individual who is a side sleeper and the typical foam "neck pillows" out there did not have enough contour height to fully support my neck. Fortunately, the sales rep at the store I got this had me try the comfort pillow, saying that because it's memory foam, I can shape it as I need it. He was right.We keep our bedroom quite cool, so when I retire, this pillow is firm (hard), but a few minutes of body heat makes it easy to shape as I need it. Being as thick as it is, I can tuck my shoulder under the lip, then form my own bulge under my neck with the divot for my head on the other side. It is easy to get the pillow shaped so that it keeps my neck straight and fully supported. Because the hi-density Tempur foam is firm, the pillow keeps supporting, even if I move around (whereas down pillows or soft foam pillows won't). This pillow has made a huge difference in keeping me from a stiff neck in the morning. Together with my sleep-number type airbed, I can get full support, straight spine, for good sleep and painless awakening the next day.The one thing I don't like is that I can't use it to prop me up for reading or my body weight will flatten it to the point where it takes 20 minutes to re-fluff so it's fat enough to use for my pillow. And it's true - you need to air out a new pillow for 2-3 days to get rid of the smell. I thought $140 was too much to pay for a pillow, but it has brought (and continues to bring) relief to a very sore neck/shoulder blade for the cost of a couple visits to the Chiropractor. It is a firm pillow, but the ability to mold it as you need it is a huge plus. This particular model of Tempurpedic pillow might be too thick for petite people, but there's not many memory foam pillows out there that are thick enough for larger folks who need a pillow that will keep their head aligned with the spine while sleeping on their side. I've had this a pillow a year, and I definitely recommend it.

I purchased this pillow for my husband. He loves it! We are seriously considering getting the mattress because the pillow is so comfortable. The pillow does have an odor initially. The packaging says it will go away. Three weeks later it still has a smell, but it's limited to just the pillow. A little smell is worth a good night sleep and no snoring! Excellent Buy!
