I ordered this blanket because I heard it had a pre-heat function which many current models don't. Generally it is a great blanket. It is plush, warm, comfortable and the pre-heat feature works great. Even on the lower settings it has kept me comfortable on the coldest nights.The down side...only two complaints. One nitpickey and inconsequential, the other an irritation arising out of either stupidity or cheapness.The wires in the blanket are large and distinct enough to be felt if you run your hand over the blanket. They are not the fine micro wires many modern blankets have. (On the other hand I haven't found a blanket with the micro-wires that had a working pre-heat function.) In terms of sleeping, this complaint is a non-starter. I have not noticed it at night at all.My only real complaint is one that arises out of sheer cheapness from someone in the business office trying to save a nickel they should have invested in production, or some design engineer or production manager that cannot read a tape measure. My blanket is for a king size bed. That should have given them a clue as to how long the associated wires needed to be. This model has dual controls that are connected with a fairly stiff wire. Logically if you have dual controls they will be used on opposite sides of the bed. There is an obvious need for the connecting wire between them to be long enough to go from one side of the bed, across the floor under the bed and then up to bed surface level on both sides for placement on a convenient nightstand. It should also have enough slack in the wire so that moving one control an inch or two doesn't pull the other control off of its spot on the nightstand and on to the floor. If they had spent the extra few cents to add 2 feet of wire this would be a glowing 5 star review. We are able to stretch the wire and make it work, but it requires some inconvenient anchoring on both sides. If you can live with that, I recommend the product.

This blanket works great, it heats up just fine but I have never felt a blanket as soft as this one. Even if it was to quit working I would keep it. I have had it on my bed for about two weeks now and at first it seemed like the wires made it a little stiff but its loosening up and becoming softer every night.

The blanket does as advertised. The only complaint I have is that it was shipped FedEx, which requires a signature, but they will only tell you the day they will deliver, not an approximate time. Even a two hour window would help. They run from 8am to 8pm on deliveries, so your whole day can be taken up waiting for a package.
