Our first set of Veratex sheets was given to us as a Christmas gift. My husband fell in love with these sheets and kept telling me over and over how much he enjoyed them. I liked them too, so, I checked on the information that came with the sheets and then got online to find where to get more of these sheets. They were easily found so another set was ordered and they were sent to our home speedily. We are enjoying Veratex sheets exclusively and my husband didn't even mind paying the bill for them!! It is also nice to know these sheets were made in the U.s.A.

These sheets are on the expensive side, so they had better be good. We recently purchased a king size, 14" memory foam mattress, and were having trouble finding sheets to fit it properly. The Veratex looked promising, and seemed to be good sheets as well.They did not disappoint. After several washings, they have become soft and luxurious. They are thick, but not in the way a multi-ply sheet is thick. These are true single ply, 1200 thread count sheets. No games with tripling up 400 ply fibers and calling them 1200. It's still a tight fit around the mattress -- don't believe any claims from any manufacturer about fitting a 20" mattress, if anybody even has such a thing -- but fit it does.One more comment. They are very well sewn. There's a solidity and attention to detail in the seams which you won't find in less expensive products. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Depends upon how you value things. The quality is certainly there in these fine sheets.

These sheets are nice and will probably last forever. But... They are very thick and heavy, as well as very hot. Now, if you like that, you will love these sheets. I don't. They're not very soft, however, I've only washed then twice. We had to put an old top sheet on the bed and are using the fitted sheet from this set because we almost had to turn on the a/c in the middle of winter because it was so very warm and heavy. If you're a person who stays cold while sleeping, you'll love them. Not sure how many times they have to be washed before they become soft. They are very well made and will last, but it just depends on what your version of comfort is.
