I just got this set on eBay and I am amazed by the quality. I've never had really nice bedding before and it's eye-opening. I have a set of Chinese-made bedding in the guest room that I bought from Bed Bath & Beyond. Comparing the two sets is comical. The Austin Horn set has none of the sheet-like easily snagged flat fabric decorated with chintzy designs in easily popped threading. The picture really doesn't do it justice. The entire pattern is woven. The textures are incredibly rich and the weaving is so elegant. I have a tapestry hanging in the bedroom and the weaving of the bedding actually makes the tapestry look like a flat little postcard by comparison.Anyway, on to the useful information. The comforter is huge and thick. The gold is not as bright as in the picture; more of a darker gold that is just shiny enough to change tones in the light. There are actually small patches of black in the pattern that accent the darker gold. The bedskirt is also darker than in the picture, and it isn't as satin-like as it appears. More of a stiffer polyester blend. I haven't gotten the window scarf valance, but I suspect it's the same material. The bedskirt is really long, about 18", and it more than reaches the floor on our bed.This set makes me feel like a queen. I did a bit of research to make sure of the quality before I ordered it. Austin Horn and Sherry Kline bedding are both made by Pacific Coast Home Furnishings. All of the Austin Horn line is currently American-made, but only some of the Sherry Kline is...and you can pretty much tell by the prices and reviews which is which.

Very pretty bedding, however the gold in the comforter is way darker than picture. And the inside of the comforter was an off white. All in all it's a very pretty comforter.
