This pillow is not too soft, not too hard. It is just right, very comfortable, and though expensive, well worth it. Much better than the foam pillows on the one hand, or down pillows on the other.

I returned the pillow. It was too full and firm for me. Not worth the price as far as I'm concerned.

I've been through a million pillows in the last several years - cotton pillows, tempur pedic and health back memory foam pillows (in all sorts of shapes and sizes), cervical pillows, buckwheat pillows, latex pillows, down pillows. Down pillows have up to now been the only ones I've liked/tolerated because they were really soft, and I could mold them to my head, which is nice but also annoying at the same time because I felt like I was spending half my night readjusting the filling. I've had this silk-filled pillow for a week, and here's why I like it - because of the silk filling it's nice and soft, but it's still firm enough to support some side sleepers. I say some, because I am a 5'6'' slender to average built female, with somewhat wide shoulders. I think the support fits me perfectly. Others with much broader/wider shoulders might find that the support is not enough. Also I like that I don't have to continually bunch it up like a down pillow. My biggest problem is that I also sleep on my back at some point during the night, and of course the pillow doesn't sink down to accommodate that. Down pillows do a better job of that, but still not good enough for me because I have too much curve in my neck, so I really don't need any support when I'm on my back. However, I really haven't found any pillow that allows for this, so I can't really single this one out for that. Overall very comfortable.
