By Peg Meyers
We installed it ourselves in a high Palladian window in a bedroom with blackout drapes.Easy installation despite awkward place.Company is GREAT. When I emailed with a problem they got right back to me andtook care of it immediately. Not only has it turned out to be highly practical for our very tall window there's a fun factor to pressing a button and having the drapes open and close while in bed.The motor does make a noise but it is not something that bothers us at all.For the price I think this is an exceptional product and the seller turned out to be exceptional also.

By Erica
This was actually for my grandmother however she ordered on my account so I am writing the review. My husband and I opened and installed this, so I feel qualified to speak to it's quality. The packaging was poor which would account for a smashed clip that wouldn't open. My husband was able to do a small fix but it is not near the same quality of the other clips now. Unfortunately the clips are very small, so my grandma will not be able to pull her curtains down herself. The curtain rod itself is neat and does work, however we figured out that when it's opening, it stops itself. But when closing, you would think it would stop in the middle but it just keeps going, so she has to keep the remote handy to stop it. The remote has small symbols that were hard for her to read so she had to mark it with a sharpie. Also, you have to have a very clear range for the remote to get the signal out, and the stop button requires a very firm push. Our biggest complaint is that it started opening or closing at random times, and it took her a week to figure out the cause. Thankfully my mother pieced it together and figured out it was the neighbor's garage door opener setting it off. So any time they come home or leave it starts the curtains. It's bothersome, but my grandma really needs this rod since she can't physically pull her curtains closed anymore. It overall does it's job, but if it weren't for her immediate need for them, I think she would return it.

By Ken R
Wow! Why didn't I order this earlier? Today I received two of the eRod Center Opening Motorized Drapery Rods and I absolutely love them. They are very well made! I first installed them on a couple windows in my living room that were difficult reach in order to open and close the drapes. NOT ANY MORE.... These remote controlled motorized drapery rods were very simple to install. I was hesitate of ordering three of these since all of the pictures show the motor on the right hand side and I needed two of the three mounted on the left since that is where I have an outlet. Well I was happy to see that these are designed very well and can be easily mounted with the motor on either side. The directions are straightforward and larger print than most other directions so they were easy to read and simple to follow. However, at first I thought I was missing a "L" bracket since the instructions indicated that I should have received 3 of them. I could only find two, but quickly discovered that the "missing third" bracket was already attached to the center bracket assembly. They are fun to operate and I was able to use the same remote to open all three of the drapes in my room. The IR Remote has a good range and with a little "fun" practice and creative aiming I was able to open or close all three drapes on one wall at once or independently. They worked so well and were so easy to install that I just ordered some more for the rest of my windows!
