Welcome to your best night's sleep ever! That's not my words; it's on the front of the flyer that came with the mattress topper. :-) So, I wouldn't say I'm now sleeping the best night's sleep ever, but I definitely would say that this mattress topper is incredibly comfy! It arrived wrapped with instructions to let it expand before putting it on your bed. So, we spread out towels on the living room floor and after being very careful opening it without cutting into the mattress, laid it out on the floor. Well, it didn't need to be because as soon as it laid out it was already expanded to the full width, depth and length. What did need to be done, however, was AIR it out! We put it on the bed and didn't cover it hoping it would air out quickly. Nope, it didn't. I ended up spraying it with Febreze that night before putting sheets on it but it still had an odor for approximately a week.I was sleeping on a 3-inch foam mattress that was on top of the box springs and it got to be so it was not holding up and I ended up waking up with a backache most mornings. Now this mattress topper is on top of the foam mattress and the bed feels wonderful. It is soft yet supportive. I did the "hand test"; pressed down on the mattress with my hand to see what if any imprint it left and there was NO imprint at all! The mattress topper comes right up after pressing down on it.I really recommend this mattress topper. I have slept on it for almost three months and it still passes the "hand test". There are no indentations to show where I've slept (and I'd say that I pretty much sleep in the same spot each night). I have not had a backache since the first night sleeping on this!!!!! :-)Update 5/2013 - I still love this memory foam topper. After all these months it still does not have any indentations in it where I lie all the time. Once in a while I do switch it around, but it is still like new. And no, I still have not had a backache! :-)

Sleep Innovations Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress Topper is a good means to a more cushioned sleeping surface and a better night's sleep. This mattress topper is made from foam, with a checkerboard pattern on one side that acts as a massaging surface, helping reduce stress and improve restfulness.This mattress topper has a distinct scent when removed from the package, but it is no different from others and the odd smell does fade away completely in a couple of days. Unrolling it on the bed, letting it sit for a few hours to air out, and then covering with a fitted sheet is all it takes to prepare the topper for use.The Sleep Innovations Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress Topper does add a good deal of cushioning to your bed. The topper is three inches thick and heavenly soft, like most foam toppers. It makes for a softer sleeping surface, yet it is not so soft that it leads to other problems. I cannot sleep on a surface that is too soft because, from my experience, it will lead to lower back pain. With this mattress topper, the softness is kept in check so there is no back pain. The surface is soft, but not too soft, and the firmness from my mattress underneath provides enough of a foundation that my sleep winds up better than usual.This mattress topper probably sounds like a sure winner so far, but I have found a few small issues with it. The first problem is that the topper makes it a little more difficult to make the bed. Because the topper isn't very thick, it makes it more difficult to attach a fitted sheet. The reason is that the topper is not just thin, it is also very light and unless the sheet is attached tightly and tucked under the mattress in each corner, it will not hold. If you don't secure it just right, the sheet will keep popping off. The other small issue I have is with the memory. It doesn't maintain the contours as well as I expected. The material is very spongy and it conforms itself well while you sleep, but it quickly springs back when you move.A good night's sleep can make any day better and this mattress topper is a very good mattress one with much to offer. The softness level is nice, the massaging surface is relaxing, and the sleep experience is better than average. It does have a few small flaws, but it is an above average product overall.

I received my mattress topper yesterday very tightly packed in kind of a gauze pouch. It took a little bit of patience to make sure I didn't cut the mattress topper itself as I freed it from the container. Then I unfolded it and tugged it onto the bed. It wasn't difficult and I'm not very big (5'2) and certainly not especially strong. I didn't notice any odor that one would normally expect when unpacking this kind of material. The mattress topper was easy to settle on the mattress. No problems.It truly was the softest bed I've ever had. It wouldn't be good for someone who likes a firm mattress, but it was very nice. My bed is 3" taller now. That's something to consider if your bed is already tall, as mine was. I thought it was extremely comfortable and would recommend it to others.
