Finally - something that works to cool down my Serta Cool Elegance memory foam mattress! I bought a Serta memory foam mattress and immediately hated it because it was SO HOT!!!!! I bought the Feeling Cooler mattress pad, and it helped, but I was still too hot. So I sent it back and got this along with two pillow cases and finally I can sleep peacefully again. This is a great product. Don't bother with the original one - go for the Feeling Cooler "2."

When you first lie down, it almost feels cold. By morning it will feel warm, but not nearly as warm as our Serta i-comfort mattress. I've slept on it about a month and am very happy with it.

My experience - because of all of the varying ratings, reports and comments, I didn't know what to expect with this product. Some people raved while others ranted. The scoop - this is a passive cooling system. Yes it draws down heat from your body - just like when you touch something like ceramic tile, or granite kitchen counter tops. The materials absorb your body heat for a little while. But the laws of physics still apply to this product. Eventually (10 minutes or so), the heat energy saturates the cooling pad and it can therefore no longer draw out your body heat - there's just no more gradient for the heat to leave your body too.That said, it's nice to get into a bed that instantly feels cool. So it helps, but can't last. I like the product, but it will not solve your over heating in bed problem - it'll just feel nice and cool when you get into your bed. I like this product because I didn't expect it to fix my hot bed issues - only help. I did purchase a Chilipad. They are on backorder - I have greater expectations for the chilipad given that it uses circulating water to remove heat then discard it. It was very expensive.....if I ere to do it over again, I'd likely try the chilipad first - it's science makes more sense to me.
